Gavzey Opticians Ltd is a family run practice with many years of experience.  it was originally founded by Cecil Gavzey in 1969 and opened its branch in Hampstead Garden Suburb in 2003, by his son Simon Gavzey.

Mr Simon Gavzey Bsc (Hons) MC Optom

Simon graduated with honours as an Optometrist in 1980 from UMIST.  Since then he has held several posts, including contact lens optometrist at Moorfields Eye Hospital contact lens department, and Aston University contact lens department, as well as Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital contact lens department, where he fitted cosmetic and theraputic contact lenses.  He also worked at the family practice in Leicester, until setting up his own branch in 2003, after moving to London with his family.  He is registered with the General Optical Council and a member of the British Contact Lens Association for over twenty five years.  

Mrs Deborah Gavzey Bsc (Hons) FBDO

His wife Deborah, originally a mathematician, qualified in 2007 from City & Islington College as a Dispensing Optician.  She is now Simon’s partner in the practice advising patients on the latest high tech lenses that are available as well as careful frame selection.
